A booking made by telephone and not confirmed in writing as above will not be treated as definite and after the expiry of the four day period the property may be hired by someone else.
Completing an online booking form and submitting this with a securing deposit is not a definite booking until confirmation has been received from the Owners that the property is available and has been booked in your name.
Payment
Booking forms submitted by post must be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit of 30%.
Booking forms submitted online must be followed by a non-refundable deposit of 30% within four days of the Owners confirming that the property is available.
Where a deposit has been paid, the balance of the total cost of the holiday must be paid at least eight weeks before the date on which the hiring is due to start.
If a booking is made within eight weeks before the hiring is due to start, payment must be made in full at the time of booking.
Non payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the Hirer.
Prices are fully inclusive of VAT, electricity, oil and initial supply of wood. Bed linen and towels including kitchen and bathroom towels are provided. The towels provided are for use in the property only.
Hirer’s Obligations
The Hirer agrees:
1) To pay for any breakages, losses or damage to the property, howsoever caused, before departure;
2) To leave the property in a clean and tidy condition, ensuring particularly that the kitchen and all equipment and utensils and the bathrooms are left clean and tidy;
3) To permit the owner or owner’s agents reasonable access to examine any matter of complaint raised during the hiring and to attend to any resulting repair or rectification or other urgent maintenance;
4) Not to share the property with anyone not nominated in the booking form or to sublet the property or assign the booking to anyone else;
5) Not to exceed the maximum number of 14 persons allowed to occupy the Property; we reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund in case of a breach in this condition;
6) To make known any special requirements at the time of the booking. If you have any medical problem or disability that may affect your holiday, please tell us before confirming your booking and follow up with written details. If we feel unable to properly accommodate the particular needs of the person(s) concerned we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
Pets
Pets are allowed in the property up to a maximum number of two. This number must not be exceeded in any circumstances.
Only normal domestic pets are accepted and these must be docile and well behaved. Any damage done by any pet must be paid for.
Pets must not be left alone in the Property at any time nor are they allowed upstairs.
Pets must not be allowed on to any bedding or soft furnishing in the Property and must be provided by the Hirer with their own bedding or blanket to protect the Owner’s floor coverings and furnishings.
Allergies
If any member of the holiday party suffers from an allergy to pets please advise at the time of booking.
Cancellation
It is recommended that Hirers take out cancellation insurance with a reputable provider to cover unforeseen circumstances that may cause them to change their plans.
Up to six weeks prior to the rental, in the event of the Hirer wishing to cancel their booking for any reason the owner will make every reasonable effort to resell the time and if successful any monies you have paid will be refunded less a 25% administration charge which will be retained to cover our time and expense in processing the cancellation and resale. If unsuccessful the price of the rental will be forfeited and you may be liable for the full cost of the rental.
Cancellations within six weeks of the rental date will result in the full rental price being forfeited.
Non Availability
If due to circumstances beyond the control of the owners should the Property become unavailable for hire all monies paid will be refunded in full and the Hirer shall in such circumstances have no further claim against the Owner.
Arrival and Departure Times
The Property is available for occupation after 4.00 pm on the day of arrival.
The Property must be vacated by 10.00 am on the morning of departure.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with The Data Protection Act 1998).
We collect information about you only to process your booking and payment.
The type of information we will collect about you includes: your name, address, telephone number, mobile telephone number and email address. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
The information we hold about you will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with the law.
We will never disclose or transfer your details to any other third party. |
